The Department of Home Affairs has until February next year to reopen the refugee reception office in Port Elizabeth. This after they lost a bid to have the Constitutional Court reconsider its decision not to hear their appeal. In March this year the Supreme Court of Appeal ordered the department to reopen the RRO and provide full services to assylum seekers and refugees in the province.
